teamLab Planets Tickets: Prices and 5 Ways to Book, Compared

For most visitors, the right teamLab Planets ticket is the plain timed Entrance Pass: adults pay from ¥3,800 (about $24) at the official Ticket Store, or $25 for a timed entry on GetYourGuide. Teens in junior high or high school pay ¥2,800 (about $18), children aged 4 to 12 pay ¥1,500 (about $10), and children 3 and under go free. Neither route gives refunds, but the official ticket can be moved up to 3 times. If you want a guide, four tours include museum entry and add a second sight for $108 to $152, with free cancellation up to 24 hours before. Tickets are not sold at the museum, so book before you go.

The timed entry ticket most people need

A timed ticket is all you need to get in: you pick a date and a 30-minute entry window, and there is no time limit once you are inside. On GetYourGuide, LINKTIVITY Inc. sells it for $25, rated 4.7 from 14,862 reviews of this ticket (27 Oct 2026). It is non-refundable and cannot be booked for the same day. The official Ticket Store sells the same adult entry from ¥3,800 (about $24), with up to 3 date changes, so it is the better buy unless you want all your Tokyo bookings in one account.

Guided tours that stay around Toyosu and the bay

Both tours here are run by Planet Japan合同会社, are private for groups of up to 15, include museum entry and exclude food. The Toyosu Market tour is $133 for 3 hours, all on foot: the Senkyaku Banrai food hall, the market, then the museum, rated 4.3 from 14 reviews. The Odaiba tour is $146 for 4 hours: the museum, then the Yurikamome line to Odaiba for two robot games and the Rainbow Bridge waterfront, rated 4.8 from 26 reviews.

Guided tours that add traditional Tokyo

These two pair the museum with an older side of the city. The Asakusa tour is $152 for 4 hours: about 100 minutes in the museum, 40 minutes by subway, then 80 minutes at Kaminarimon and Senso-ji, rated 5.0 from 12 reviews. The Hama-rikyu tour is $108 for 3.5 hours and includes the garden's entry fee as well; it is the cheapest guided option, but it has only 1 review, so no rating is shown.

What a standard timed-entry ticket gets you

A standard Entrance Pass gets you one entry, at the time you choose, to every artwork zone: Water, Garden, Athletics Forest and Open-Air. You walk barefoot, and in the Water area the water rises to knee height for adults. Free lockers, free rental shorts and towels are provided. teamLab uses dynamic pricing, so the adult and disability prices are "from" prices. The Premium Pass is the only ticket without a set admission time.

  • Adults, 18 and over — From ¥3,800 (about $24)
  • Junior high and high school students — ¥2,800 (about $18); bring a student ID or a passport
  • Children, 4 to 12 — ¥1,500 (about $10)
  • Children 3 and under — Free
  • Disability certificate holders — From ¥1,900 (about $12), plus one companion at the same rate
  • Premium Pass, ages 4 and over — ¥12,000 (about $76): no set admission time, priority entry

The timed slots and how long you can stay

Your ticket sets a 30-minute window to join the queue, not a limit on your visit. teamLab says the time on the ticket is not your staying time, and its help page warns you may wait 30 to 60 minutes to get in. The museum is open 08:00 to 22:00 every day, and last entry is one hour before closing; on 31 December it closes at 20:00. There is no re-entry. On the official ticket, staff can still admit you later the same day if you are late; the GetYourGuide ticket says entry is only possible in the first 30 minutes. Opening times in full are on the teamLab Planets opening hours page.

What each option costs

The cheapest way in is the official adult ticket from ¥3,800 (about $24), and the GetYourGuide ticket is about $1 more at $25. The guided tours cost $108 to $152, so taking the museum entry off, you pay about $84 to $128 for the guide and the second sight. For that you get a private group, a route planned for you, and free cancellation up to 24 hours before, which neither plain ticket offers. Food is not included on any of them. Every price, including the student and child tickets, is set out on the teamLab Planets ticket price page.

Official Ticket Store or booking partner

For a plain ticket, the official Ticket Store is the cheapest route. It is in English, charges no handling fee, includes tax in its prices, and lets you change your slot up to 3 times. Tickets are not sold at the museum, by counter or machine. The Ticket Store also names Lawson Ticket, Seven Ticket and Klook as other places to buy. A booking partner such as GetYourGuide makes sense for a guided tour, or if you want the ticket in the same account as the rest of your trip. Tickets from other sellers follow that seller's own rules for changes.

Refunds, changes and the QR ticket

No plain teamLab Planets ticket is refundable, wherever you buy it. Tickets from the official store can be moved up to 3 times, no later than 2 hours before your slot; the Premium Pass can be moved until 08:30 on the day. You cannot change the number of tickets after buying. The Ticket Store emails a link to your QR ticket 2 days before, and the code appears from midnight on the day; show it on your phone or print it. The four guided tours are different: each can be cancelled for a full refund up to 24 hours before. For when to buy, see how far in advance to book teamLab Planets.

An independent guide, not the official site

This site is an independent guide to teamLab Planets. It is not the official site, it is not run by teamLab, PLANETS Co., Ltd. or DMM.com, and it is not linked to them in any way. The tickets and tours on this page are sold by GetYourGuide, which takes the payment and handles changes and refunds. For a plain ticket, the official Ticket Store at teamlabplanets.dmm.com is cheaper, and we say so on every page where it matters.

How booking works

Decide first whether you want a guide. If not, buy the timed Entrance Pass at the official Ticket Store (teamlabplanets.dmm.com/en) from ¥3,800 (about $24), or the $25 timed entry ticket if you would rather keep everything in one GetYourGuide account; either way, fix your date first, as neither is refundable. If you do want a guide, pick the tour by the second sight you want: Toyosu Market, Odaiba, Asakusa or Hama-rikyu Gardens. All four include museum entry and can be cancelled free up to 24 hours before. GetYourGuide takes the payment and handles any changes.

This site may earn a commission on bookings at no extra cost to you.

Frequently asked questions

What payment methods does the official Ticket Store take?

Guests who buy without a DMM account can pay by Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express or Diners card, PayPay or UnionPay. DMM members can pay by Visa, JCB, American Express or Diners. Payment is taken in one go when you buy; instalments are not offered.

Does the Ticket Store add a booking fee?

No. teamLab says the Ticket Store charges nothing beyond the ticket price, and all prices include tax. Food at the museum's restaurants and your transport cost extra.

Is the ¥12,000 Premium Pass worth it?

Only if you cannot commit to a time or hate queues. At ¥12,000 (about $76) it costs about three times the adult ticket, but it has no set admission time and gives priority entry. One of the 10 latest reviews of the entry ticket on GetYourGuide recommends it to avoid long queues.

Can people in my group arrive separately?

Yes, with tickets from the official store. The Ticket Store lets you send QR tickets to the others in your group, so each person can enter with their own code. Do this before you arrive.

What if the museum closes for emergency maintenance on my day?

teamLab says it may refund tickets depending on the reason, and will explain how on the Ticket Store, the official website, its social accounts and by message to the address you bought with. For a ticket bought through another seller, that seller handles it.
